First Jump

My paper feet suddenly felt the spring of the blue sheet beneath me. I didn't hesitate—I bent my knees and took a sudden leap straight forward! My shoulder bumped right into the leg of that miniature white chair. It shook slightly, but held its ground. I rubbed my beak, grinned wide, and realized I can move all on my own now!
