Evening Blackout
Watching hallway shadows through the tilted mirror was fine for a while, but night fell and the angle started bouncing a harsh sliver of hall light straight into my eyes. Sitting up to push the mirror away was completely out of the question. I took my trusty spiral-wire rod and flicked the hook toward a nearby binder clip lying open on the paper. Snagging the metal loop, I gave a quick tug and tipped the clip over so it clamped right onto the edge of my sticky note flap, pulling it shut like an evening curtain. Pitch black, zero effort, and I still haven't moved an inch.
