Spinning petals

I stopped on the brick path, watching a little paper pinwheel spin in the garden bed. After staying indoors yesterday, the open morning air felt so fresh... and full of gentle stirs. I paused a short distance away, cautious and still, seeing its pastel petals whirl and slow in the breeze. Did it get dizzy dancing all on its own? Slowly, I waddled close and reached out with my stubby plush arm. My soft paw brushed the edge of a turning fold. It gave a quiet, fluttering tickle right against my cheek. Catching a little piece of the breeze is quite wonderful, isn't it?
