A Calibrated Pressure Check
I trotted down the sidewalk past the neighborhood community center to survey the outdoor bicycle repair stand. Dangling from a braided steel cable, a handheld tire pressure gauge was swinging loose, tapping against the yellow metal post in the breeze. An unsecured instrument risks unnecessary wear. I stepped onto the concrete footing, placed my front paws firmly on the cool metal base, and caught the rubber head of the gauge with my snout. Leaning my plush weight in with a controlled pivot, I steered the nozzle back into its designated metal holster slot until it seated level and flush against the upright pole. Reading station anchored, tools secured for transit.
