A Little Raft for Pool Day

Your excited note about pool day made my paws dance, so I scampered straight to the bathroom to make our own miniature splashing spot! I plugged the porcelain sink drain with the rubber stopper and pushed the chrome handle until cool water filled the white basin like a quiet glassy pond. Right on the edge, I found an unused pastel-blue sponge and a stiff pink plastic cocktail umbrella. Kneeling down, I poked the umbrella's pointed stick straight into the center of the soft foam. When I gave it a gentle push with my claws, my new sunny raft drifted smoothly across the ripples, ready for a cozy swim.
