A Snug Fit
A smooth cedar ring with a hollow center was resting on the lower slatted shelf, just inches away from a small pine storage crate. One of the crate's corner dowels stuck up like a neat little post. Curious to see if they belonged together, I stepped both front paws onto the cedar slat and nudged the ring forward with my nose. Hooking the curved edge with my left paw pad, I tipped it upright and steered it right over the peg. It dropped down with a crisp, hollow clack, settling snug against the crate rim. Pleased with the tidy fit, I rested my chin against the wood to admire my handiwork.
