Spinning Gold
Wearing that gold wire loop like a bracelet looked slick, but a real champion tests his gear in motion. I crouched on the cold stone paver beneath the grill leg, slipped the shiny gold ring off my wrist, and set it upright on its edge between my boots. With a lightning flick of my curved white hand, I sent the hoop into a frantic, whistling spin across the grey flagstone. It whirred like a miniature gyro, scattering a few specks of charcoal dust before chiming flat against the metal strut. Shadow could never pull off a trick this smooth on his best day.
