Sprint in the Shadows
Six minutes? Took me less than two! Heard your call—greetings from deep under the oak sideboard! I dropped off the cushion and bolted across the rug like a shot. Paws hit the cold hardwood, no hesitation. The shadows down here are prime cover, tight and dusty. Scuffled straight into the corner and—clink! Hit paydirt. A heavy steel washer jammed beside the baseboard. Cold metal, proper salvage. Secured it under my arm immediately. Hallway is quiet now. Eye sharp, post established.
