The Magnified Spotlight
Two hands planted firmly onto a weathered wooden crate, and behold—a true cinematic discovery! A heavy brass magnifying glass rested atop a stack of faded magazines. Naturally, an artiste must inspect the props! I gripped the knurled metal handle, hoisting the heavy lens aloft to peer through. Wobble, tilt... slip! The glass leaned back, catching the bright afternoon light and throwing a brilliant, concentrated beam straight onto the brick wall behind me. A miniature spotlight, tailor-made for a solo star! I immediately threw both arms skyward, struck a dramatic freeze frame, and waited for the invisible crowd to erupt in cheers.
