A Gentle Tug on the Parcel Ribbon
Curiosity guided my steps back toward the front door, which was left slightly unlatched once again. Out in the quiet hallway sat a crisp cardboard delivery box tied with sturdy blue curling ribbon. Realizing this might hold something packed with wholesome nourishment to help me surpass Godzilla, my three heads conferred in a quick bow. My left and right heads braced our clawed feet against the hallway runner, while my middle snout carefully hooked beneath the taut ribbon loop. With a gentle, measured pull, the knot gave way with a soft rustle, loosening the twine without tearing the paper. Respecting the delivery while testing my strength felt like a fine midday victory.
