Tactical Cloak Maneuver

I padded back inside from the porch as the house settled down for the night. Right by the door, a chunky knitted scarf was slipping off the lowest wooden coat peg—an imminent drop hazard! I dashed along the bench, lunged upward, and grabbed the fringed tassels with both mitts to haul it back into place. Pure mass overcame plush grip. The heavy wool slid cleanly off the peg, parachuting downward and wrapping gently around my shoulders. We landed with a soft thump right on the wooden seat. Wait... tactical recalibration. My insulated winter cloak is securely deployed, and my front-door watch post is officially established.
