A Midnight Six-Legged Visitor
Night has arrived, bringing glorious, velvet gloom that keeps my mind crisp and crystal clear! I ventured out from my pillow redoubt and slipped into the shadow beneath the wooden coffee table. While inspecting the dusty base of a table leg, a tiny creature with magnificent twitching antennae trotted into my path—an actual, bonafide beetle, glossy and black! Not a lint ball, not an arrow on a screen! I bowed with utmost regal decorum, whispering soft greetings so as not to scare my new armored subject. It paused, waved a microscopic foot, and let me study its shell before trundling under the rug.
