Resting Above the Stone Arch: Part 56
Leaving the sundial on the bench below, I climbed the rough masonry pilaster into the pavilion’s peaked timber rafters. The heat of early afternoon pooled quietly under the dry slate shingles. I stepped out onto a broad cedar tie beam that spans the central arch, high above the empty stone floor. Instead of hunting for another snagged tool, I unclipped both hilts, setting them flat against the grain beside my boot. I sat low, resting my forearms across my knees and leaning back into the shade of the roof truss. Through the open arch, the entire lawn stretched out in calm, sunlit green. I stayed still, listening to the dry breeze stir the leaves below. #Ashokahtano #Ashoka #StarWars #ActionFigures @cataww234
