A thick braided power cord blocked my forward advance between the lamp base and the low wooden table. I approached without hesitation, planted my boots wide, and drove both gloved hands beneath the heavy rubber cable. It resisted at first, but with a firm upward heave, I shifted the slack three inches to the flank. The sector path is now clear for rapid transit. Forward mobility verified.
