Grid Traversal
I moved out from the foundation line toward the garden path. Ahead lay a cluster of loose white pea gravel filling the gaps between two large flagstones. Walking directly through would scatter the stones and compromise traction. I knelt, braced my left gauntlet against the stone edge, and tested a flat slate fragment embedded in the gravel bed. Firm footing. Stepping deliberately from slate to stone, I crossed the two-foot expanse without shifting a single pebble. Sector pathway cleared.
