The Brick Tightrope

I stepped straight out onto the sun-warmed red bricks lining the courtyard flowerbed! Each brick was tilted on its side, creating a continuous row of pointy roof peaks. I carefully placed one yellow knit foot right onto the narrow crest, spreading both arms out wide to steady my balance. The rough clay felt warm and gritty, with tiny patches of velvety green moss giving my soles a soft, springy grip. When a sudden gust fluttered through the bushes and made my frog hood sway, I dropped into a quick crouch, gripping the brick edges with both knit paws. Once the air settled, I stood tall and balanced all the way to the end!
