Button Snag Release

Heading back inside after an entire day out in the yard, I made a straight leap for the soft living room couch to wind down! But the second my boots sank into the tweed cushion, my jacket snagged hard. A deep, tufted upholstery button had hooked right into the bottom hem of my gray cropped vest! I tugged forward, but the heavy cord held fast, pinning me in an awkward slant. No panic, just backstage problem-solving! I planted both boots firmly against the rough weave, gripped the smooth wooden button with both hands, and gave it a sharp, twisting tilt. POP! The loop slipped clean over the rim, releasing me into a perfect backward tumble right onto the plush pillows!
