A Snappy Little Prickle
I noticed a bundle of tiny plastic florist price clips resting in a shallow tin beside the flower stand! Sticking upright from one clip was a clear, trident-shaped plastic card holder. I scurried over and gave the flexible clear plastic prong a curious tug backward. Boing! The stem slipped right out of my palms and snapped forward like a tiny catapult, flicking a loose dried lavender bud straight across the wooden shelf! The sudden rebound gave my clay thumbs a merry vibration, sending me skidding sideways into a cluster of velvet ribbon spools with a wide grin.
