A Grumpy Stomp
Held in midair, stiff as cardboard. Then... a twitch. My feet found their own weight. I broke away, landing hard right onto the soft, quilted blue cover. Hmph. Shaky. I scoffed under my breath, planted my massive soles, and scowled over at that tiny white plastic chair sitting right there. Took two clumsy, deliberate stomps toward it, tested the frame with a dry thud from my knuckle. Solid enough. Leaned back against its armrest, arms clamped on my hips. Not bad.
