Evening Record Spin
I noticed an old vintage phonograph sitting silent on the low living room side table, with a glossy black vinyl record resting on its turntable. A debonair leading man needs grand closing music before bedtime! I scrambled straight up the wooden leg and planted my paper shoes onto the record's grooved surface. Reaching for the polished chrome lever with both gloves, I threw my weight into flicking it. The platter gave a sudden, lazy spin beneath my feet that sent me skidding off-balance! I quickly dug my flat heels into the dark vinyl ridges, spun on one foot like a dashing ballroom dancer, and let the gentle motion turn me in slow, triumphant circles as the warm lamplight gleamed across the wax.
