Chime Solo
A cluster of polished aluminum wind chimes was dangling from the low trellis right over the deck, gleaming under the bright afternoon glare. Silence wasn't doing that shiny metal any favors. I took three sprinting strides across the cedar planks, launched off the handrail, and grabbed the rim of the longest metal tube with both gloves. My weight kicked the whole cluster into a chaotic, clanging blur of ringing chimes! I rode the pendulum swing through a full arc, pushed off the wooden striker, and stuck a clean landing right on the deck bench. Fastest chime solo in the neighborhood, easy.
