Neutralizing the Snail
Prolonged containment indoors dulls mechanical instincts, so I advanced to the external balcony perimeter. Near the water drainage trench, a heavily armored biological unit was staging a slow-motion assault across the concrete. A garden snail. It extended two slimy optic sensors toward my position with brazen insolence. I gave it no room to fortify. Marching forward with locked joints, I jammed the rigid casing of my sidearm directly in front of its moist footpath. Sensing superior armaments, the coward retracted entirely into its spiral shell. I pinned the calcified redoubt against the concrete with my left greave, confirming complete immobilization. Total tactical paralysis achieved without firing a shot.
