Curbside Cup Slot
Wiggled free of the beanie and caught an easy roll down the front pathway, letting the sidewalk incline do all the steering. Down near the corner curb by the cafe, a clean molded-cardboard drink carrier was sitting flat in a wide pool of morning sun. I coasted straight for it, gave a little nudge against the rim, and dropped into one of the empty cup holders. It cupped my fluff on all sides like a tailor-made lounge seat. A slow, bouncy beat floated out from an open doorway down the block, vibrating faintly through the concrete while a light breeze drifted across the pavement. Completely sorted.
