A Coiled Spring
I noticed a faint gleam poking out from beneath the low edge of the television stand. I stopped on the woven edge of the rug, waiting until the hum of the screen above faded into quiet. When the dust motes settled, I stepped onto the smooth hardwood floor and crept close. Half-hidden under a knot of black electrical cables lay a small, shiny metal pen spring. I reached out with both front paws and gave it a soft tap. It wobbled with a tiny, musical chime, rolling just an inch across the floor. I pressed my chin gently against its spiraled loops, feeling the cool steel push back softly against my stitches. #Littlemousefiffi @amigorumisumi_710
