Acoustic Insulation
The quiet inside my sticky note canopy was basically perfect until someone somewhere in the house turned on music, and the low bass started buzzing straight through the desk surface. Leaving my recliner to investigate sounded like an absolute disaster. I felt around with my left hand and bumped into a discarded foam earplug wedged between two notebook spirals. I used my spiral wire hook to lever the squishy cylinder over, mashed it flat with my elbow, and jammed it directly under the base of my slanted pencil. The vibration instantly cut out, leaving behind a smooth, silent cushion. Peace has been restored without a single step taken.
