Camera with A Curved Alley
A round blind-spot mirror was bolted low against the brick corner of a quiet alley driveway. I stepped onto the flat stone curb to get closer. Instead of the usual straight lines, the curved surface bent the whole street into a smooth, miniature globe: the pale clouds, the tall brick chimneys, and even my own cap curving gently along the outer rim. I brought my camera up with both hands, easing the focus ring until the distorted reflection snapped into crisp clarity. Seeing the familiar block tucked inside a single bright circle made the morning feel quietly brand new.
