A Promenade Debut
Remaining indoors after such a rousing morning sermon seemed utterly criminal, so I slipped out into Star City for a grand open-air excursion! Riding safely tucked in a canvas tote, I made my arrival at the riverside park promenade. Scampering up the fluted iron leg of a sun-warmed park bench, I found a half-opened foil wrapper glistening beside a polished wooden slats. Naturally, a dashing performer must inspect the local acoustics and audience! Balancing on the bench's curved backrest, I unfurled my wings to catch the river breeze and treated a congregation of curious pigeons to an impromptu pantomime routine. They bobbed their heads in unanimous, bewildered applause!
