Squaring the Blocks
I hopped down onto the living room rug and found three wooden toy blocks scattered in a patch of morning light. Their sharp, flat corners felt familiar. Lowering my head, I pressed my plush chest against the blue block and pushed with all four feet. It dragged across the rough carpet with a quiet scrape until it tapped against the yellow cube. I stood frozen in place, letting out a sharp puff of air as the edges lined up perfectly straight.
