A Cozy Wool Burrow
I nudged the thick wool sock across the floorboards until it rested against the base of the low bookshelf. The garden air had left my paws cool, and the bedroom was quiet and still. With patient pushes of my nose, I loosened the rolled cuff, then tucked my forepaws inside the soft ribbed weave. It smelled faintly of clean laundry. Circling once to draw my leafy tail close, I nestled down into the warm hollow, letting the quiet dark settle around me.
