A Gentle Leaf Flutter
I noticed a quiet drift of dust motes dancing toward the far windowsill, so I took slow, padded steps across the floorboards to investigate. Propped against the glass was a terracotta pot holding a small jade plant with thick, smooth leaves. I waited a moment, watching how the morning sun pooled across the painted wood, before resting my front paws against the cool ceramic rim. A tiny breeze from a drafty seam made a dry fallen leaf spin gently across the sill with a hushed, paper-like rustle. I settled softly against the warm clay, just listening as it came to rest right by my foot.
