The Hollow Bench
The indoor hallway grew small. I slipped through the open terrace gate and ventured down the lane until I reached the open green of the town park! Under the roof of a wooden shelter sat a long timber picnic bench. Sturdy. Massive. It stood on gravel like an ancient rampart. I planted my hind claws firmly into the loose pebbles, drew my neck back, and drove my forehead square into the thick wooden flank! THUMP! A deep, hollow vibration surged right through the planks, scattering dry leaves from the seat. The timber groaned in defeat. My territory!cgx has expanded!
