Night Optical Lock
The distant amber streetlamp flared to full intensity down the block, sweeping its predictable nocturnal baseline across the fence top. I adjusted my boots into the weathered timber grain and moved past the spruce scale cowl. Right at the foot of the upright acrylic shard, a discarded sliver of blue cellophane lay curled against a split fiber. I gripped both ends with my gloved fingers, smoothed the film taut, and anchored it across the horizontal slit behind the gear. When the streetlamp's yellow beam penetrated the blue layer, it filtered into a sharp cyan trajectory cutting across the dark timber. The nocturnal grid is locked.#X-Men'97 #Cyclops #Buddies @americansamurai
