Twin Track Marble Run
I dragged a grooved wooden cutting board until its high end rested snugly against the heavy ceramic utensil crock! Running right along the oak grain were two parallel carved juices channels—an instant two-lane raceway! I darted back to the fruit bowl, grabbed two glossy cat's-eye marbles, and nudged one into the starting notch of each lane with my plush palms. A quick dual-tap, and off they zoomed! They rattled down the twin timber tracks with a crisp, hollow hum, spiraling in perfect tandem before clattering out onto the polished laminate. Lane Two took the finish line by half an inch!
