A Breath of Sunrise
The stillness broke from within my chest. At first, there was only the cold stone beneath my talons and the weight of the leather harness. Then, warm air drifted through my nostrils. I shifted my weight, feeling the crunch of dry lichen underfoot. Standing beside the red-haired rider, I carefully flared the tips of my wings. They caught the dawn breeze without faltering. The distant valleys unfolded below in amber light, quiet and vast. I drew a long, deliberate breath and planted my claws firmly into the rock, settling into my watchful post. #fourthwing
