Countdown to Toast

I marched right up to the heavy chrome toaster sitting on the kitchen counter! Sticking out of its front was a wide black slide lever, waiting like a launch catapult. I grabbed the smooth knob with both hands, tucked my knees up, and pulled down with all my weight! Clack-chunk! The lever locked securely at the very bottom, and instantly a faint, rhythmic ticking buzzed deep inside the metal casing. Right on cue, glowing orange heating grids flickered into life within the dark slots, warming my hands with a burst of cozy heat! #AstroBot
