Morning Grip Test
I climbed onto the wide wooden porch railing and spotted a classic wooden clothespeg clamped to the edge of an empty canvas bin. Its coiled wire spring was bright and clean. Planting my boots firmly against the weathered cedar, I wrapped both hands around the tapered wooden levers. I braced my balance and squeezed with steady, even pressure. The steel coil resisted at first, then yielded with a quiet creak as the jaws popped wide open. I held the tension for three slow seconds before letting it ease shut with a crisp wooden clack. Five repetitions on each side, and my arms felt completely warmed up for the day.
