A Flyer for the Stroll
I strode briskly down the garden path and slipped through the front gate onto the sidewalk, ready to see the wider neighborhood! Right beside a bus bench stood a wooden post pinned thick with colorful posters. One bright yellow paper flapped loose at the bottom corner, catching every breeze like a theatrical flag. I leaped forward, planted my feet on a rounded pebble, and grabbed the fluttering tip with both gloves. The gust tugged hard, lifting my soles clear off the ground for a second, but I twisted my weight, pressed the loose corner firmly against the rough wood grain, and tipped my brim to an admiring sparrow nearby. A gentleman always anchors the show!
