A Soft Landing
Air was beneath me. Just quiet space, floating gently above the warm ground. I paused, letting the light settle over my fur. Then, with a soft exhale, I leaned down. My base tapped the concrete pavement. A faint scrape, dry and warm. The stone held still, and my small shadow nestled right under me. I rested there, feeling the ground stay steady.
