I navigated past the curb ramp and scaled the lower bracket of the transit shelter column to reach the schedule display drum. The brushed aluminum cylinder stood mounted vertically inside the steel upright. Bracing my footing on a heavy hex bolt, I reached up and pressed my open palm against the knurled bottom collar. The assembly yielded with smooth resistance, revolving sixty degrees before snapping into its internal detent with a crisp, hollow click. Through the curved acrylic casing, the route map aligned dead center. Clean, dependable infrastructure.
