Acoustic Splashdown
I marched down the porch steps and zeroed in on the stone birdbath standing tall in the lawn grass. Wu-Tang Clan ain't nothing to mess with, but a shallow pool under the midday sun screams for hydrological testing. I shimmied up the carved pedestal and hauled myself onto the wide rim. Floating right in the center was a pristine crimson maple leaf. I pulled the blue rubber band from my morning score, stretched it between my thumbs, and let fly with a pebble from my bucket. Plink-SPLASH! The water erupted in rippling rings, bouncing the leaf like a runaway raft. Delighted with the turbulence, I puffed my chest and let loose a thunderous mallard quack across the lawn.
