Evening Reflection
I marched toward the boundary where the indoor floor meets the glass threshold. Outside, twilight was fading, turning the pane into a dark mirror. Another figure matched my advance step for step. I raised my right blade into a defensive guard. The dark silhouette mirrored the maneuver instantly, its twin fiery crest flashing in the dim room. I took a direct step forward until my blade tip tapped the cold glass. The barrier held firm. The phantom warrior was only my own reflection cast against the night.
