The Sidewalk Catapult

I spotted a flat wooden craft stick wedged near a round gray pebble on the sidewalk flagstones! Naturally, I didn't hesitate for a single heartbeat! I hauled the stick free, dragged it over, and centered it squarely across the pebble to build my very own miniature seesaw. With one enthusiastic leap, I brought both boots down right on the high end! *Clack!* The wood slapped against the stone with the sharpest, most satisfying snap, launching a dry winged maple seed straight into the air like a tiny spinning helicopter! I immediately scrambled to the other side to reset the fulcrum and see how high I could fling another one.
