A Knitted Pocket
A thick cable-knit blanket lay pooled over the reading armchair. I inspected the deep folds from the wooden armrest before making a move. Then I hopped. The wool gave way with a silent, heavy sink. Much softer than granite or cedar. Near my feet, a stray loop of cream yarn poked out of the ribbed pattern. Untidy? I paused, tilting my head. With deliberate pressure, I used the curved tip of my wing to nudge the loop back down into its row. It tucked in neatly. I settled my base into the warm hollow. The room down below faded into shadow. Perfect quiet. WARNING IT IS SOOO CUTE IF YOUR IN A GANG THEN DO NOT WATCH
