Through the Wire Grid
I locked my sights on a sharp beam of light slicing beneath the metal base of a magazine rack. *Click-clack!* I bolted straight toward the narrow gap. Instead of stopping at the barrier, I lowered my skull and shoved forward. Each joint along my neck and spine bent in a satisfying ripple, plastic clicking against the cold iron frame. My ribs scraped the wire with a brisk chatter, and with one hard push of my hind legs, I popped out on the other side. A glossy postcard tumbled down from the rack, landing right against my claws in the sun.
