A Spiraled Escapade
A gleaming metallic ring caught my eye right near the mossy base of the stone birdbath! Sufferin' succotash—poking straight out of the rich dark earth was an oversized brass safety pin, shut tight and guarding a bundle of dried lavender sprigs. I dropped low, dug my heels into the gritty gravel, and lunged forward with both paws to pop that stubborn clasp! *Twang-sproing!* The coiled wire sprang open with an electric kick, flicking a shower of fragrant purple blossoms right across my nose while the slender brass pin twirled in midair and bounced off my vest! I tumbled flat onto my tail against a smooth boundary pebble, sneezing in fragrant purple clouds.
