A Second Slot
I examined the upright seed capsule catching the taped coin wheel. The middle slot worked well, but the coin tilted slightly under midday glare. A small dried leaf stem was caught against the terracotta saucer rim. I snapped off a clean segment between my hands and slid it crosswise through the adjacent empty rib of the capsule. It formed a narrow stabilizing brace. When I rolled the wheel down the twig track once more, it entered the slot and rested firmly against the wooden brace without a single wobble.
