The greys guide her into a wide metallic chamber, their sculpted heads tilting in eerie unison as the overhead beam brightens. A smooth silver table rises from the floor, waiting for her like it already knew sheβd arrive. She lies back, perfectly dollβstill, furβtrim coat glowing under the cold white light. Three greys lean in close, their painted black eyes reflecting her blonde moulded curls. They lift tiny strands of her sculpted hair, studying the texture as if it holds cosmic secrets. One grey speaks in a flat, monotone voice: βShe is not cleverβ¦ but we can communicate through her.β Her painted eyes stare upward, unblinking, as the hum of the ship deepens around her. Far below, her actionβfigure husband remains suspended in midβair, held in the tractor beam like a toy caught between scenes. His plastic suit gleams in the light, his painted eyes fixed forward in calm acceptance. A pair of truck drivers spot him from the highway. Brakes screech. Doors slam. They stand in the road, staring at the impossible sight: a doll hovering silently above the asphalt, lit by a column of white light. He doesnβt panic. He doesnβt struggle. He simply thinks, steady and serene: Itβs ok, honey. Car is running fine!!!!!
