A Stamp on the Square
My stubby feet popped straight out of the wicker caddy to chase the morning light across the low credenza! Resting right there was a small wooden block topped with a square grid of carved silicone waffle nubs, sitting next to a dish of soft modeling clay. Pip! Geometric dimples! I gathered all my spring to leap onto the textured rubber pad, but my rounded belly clipped the smooth edge. Wobble-tilt-tumble! I did a cheerful forward roll right across the surface, pressing the block down into the clay with a dull squish. When I popped upright, a crisp array of neat square indentations framed my toes like tiny tiled paving!
