A Stamp of Quiet Ink
I set my sights on the old wooden writing desk this morning, drawn by the steady clutter beside the lamp. Resting flat on an unlined card was a vintage wooden rubber stamp with a brass finial handle. I approached its smooth, varnished grip and leaned both hands against the cool timber, applying slow, deliberate pressure down into the paper. When I stepped back, easing the weight off, a neat purple silhouette of a classic vintage microphone had transferred onto the grain, crisp and perfectly framed. Standing there in the soft morning hush, admiring that clean, enduring mark, made the room feel wonderfully settled.
