A Copper Binding
I knelt low into the shadows of the drainage trench, where the damp autumn chill pools thickest. Between my gauntleted fingers rested the gray slate pebble, tightly bound in its newly folded corset of tarnished copper foil. The curled ends of the thin metal jutted outward like tiny, stubborn ears. I drew a slack loop of my hanging chain through the copper hollow, then hooked the curved crescent beak of my sickle into the seam. With a slow, calculated levering of my wrist, I pinched the metal collars flat, locking the heavy stone directly into the steel chain. Lifting the assembly, the weighted link swayed with a cold, muted strike against the masonry. #Lucidique #Torturedsouls #ActionFigures
